December Paddle

Each December the GA Conservancy collaborates with the New Ebenezer Retreat Center and the City of Springfield to bring you the Annual Ebenezer Creek Paddle. Participants meet at the Retreat Center for breakfast and a short presentation with pointers from our guides and experts. After breakfast, everyone will make their way to the launch point at Tommy Long Landing. Participants can bring their own kayaks and canoes, or they can rent from the local outfitter and have them delivered and waiting at the launch point. Once in the water, everyone will make their way down the creek and finish at the Ebenezer Landing, next to the Retreat Center. Multiple guides and experts will be posted along the route to provide information on the vast wealth of unique cultural, historical and ecological facts and lore that Ebenezer Creek has to offer. Registration is usually open in the fall and those interested can contact the GA Conservancy or the City of Springfield if they have any questions.
